Michi spoke at the Partners Days of the Smart Cities Council. (June 18, 2014)

The Smart Cities Council of the United States had it “Partners Days” on June 18 and 19, in Dallas, Texas. The meetings consisted of exchange of information among the member companies on the first day, and dialogues with city mayors on the second day, which invited some influential mayors out of the participants of the annual meeting of US Conference of Mayors, which was taking place at the same time in Dallas.

Michi stood at the podium on the first day to talk about the status of smart cities in Japan as well as the possible collaborations between Japanese industry and the member companies of the Council, and had the opportunity of exchanging views on the urban issued with the mayors there.

Smart Cities Council was established in 2012 as a “vendor-neutral” organization to create channels to municipalities, and has released such publications as “Smart Cities Readiness Guide” and “Smart Cities Financing Guide”.
