Michi started writing a series of articles on the monthly Newsletter (Special Edition) of Japan Smart Community Alliance (JSCA). The title of the series is “The Success Factors and the Standardization Streams of Overseas Smart Cities”.

The first article in the Newsletter (Special Edition) No. 28, issued on 29 January, 2016, was titled as “The ‘Smart-city’ is booming again in Europe and the United States. ~ The New Stages with the Focuses on Solving Urban Issues and Improving Quality of Life”, and it discusses the current situation of smart city boom in these areas, while the word “Smart City” has become out of date in Japan, and advocates the efforts Japanese local governments and industry should pay.
