Michi’s article titled “ISO37120, the first global standard on city indicators, and World Council on City Data (WCCD)” appeared as a special contribution in the April issue of the monthly journal “Shin Toshi (New Cities)”, which is published by City Planning Association of Japan, a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation.

In the section on the implication of ISO37120 and WCCD on Japanese cities, Michi stressed that Japanese cities, which are recognized as preparing high-quality city date, should join WCCD Registry for the purposes of benchmarking and being referred to by researchers of all over the world.

The “Shin Toshi (New Cities)” journal is issued by City Planning Association of Japan, under the editorial cooperation of City Bureau of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and being read widely by the municipal and prefectural officers in charge of city planning and regional development.
