An article titled “Tokyo Olympic Games and Smart Cities” by Michi was published in Volume 87 of Journal of Association of Urban Housing Sciences.

The journal is a special issue to feature “Tokyo until Olympic Games and after them”, and Michi’s article forms a part this special section.

Michi advocates in his article that smart cities are process to solve the urban issues specific to each city, and the resilience against natural disaster has gained the major interest in urban issues in recent years, and, therefore, Tokyo should transmit the preparedness against the next disaster toward the rest of the world, which is more important for the world than leaving legacy in Tokyo.
